Entries & payment
Pre-entry is online via this site, closing 11:59pm the Wednesday before each round; on-the-day entry is available after that, up to 30 minutes before the relevant race start, at a higher price. Payment is taken online at the time of entry. Refunds: up to £5 may be charged as a non-refundable admin fee. Entries are refundable up to 14 days before the event, and can be transferred to a later date between 14 and 3 days before. Full pricing and the full-season discount are on the League Rules & Regulations.
Race day conduct
Riders must follow the grid position they're allocated, finish within the same-lap-as-winner cut-off, wear a helmet at all times on the track, and follow marshal guidance. E-bike entrants must meet the EAPC specification declared at entry and allow inspection when asked. Full rules, including gridding, promotion/relegation, and the e-bike declaration, are on the League Rules & Regulations page.
Liability
Mountain biking is an inherently risky activity. By entering an MTB east race or event, you (or, for riders under 18, your parent or guardian on your behalf) acknowledge and accept that:
- Off-road cycling carries a risk of injury, including serious injury, and MTB east CIC, its directors, volunteers and marshals cannot guarantee your safety.
- You are responsible for ensuring your bike and equipment are suitable and in good working order, and for riding within your own ability.
- You must wear a helmet at all times on the track, and follow marshal instructions and the rules published on this site.
- MTB east CIC, its directors, volunteers, marshals and host landowners accept no liability for injury, loss or damage arising from your participation, except where caused by our proven negligence, and except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977).
- You're encouraged to hold your own personal accident insurance, some cycling body memberships include this; check your own cover.
- In a medical emergency, you consent to reasonable first aid and emergency medical treatment being given on your (or your rider's) behalf if you or they are unable to give consent at the time.
